WHAT IS PROSTHETICS AND ORTHOTICS COURSE

 Prosthetics and Orthotics is bachelor degree of 4.5 years, which consist 4 years of academic and 6 months of internship. 

After bachelors one can choose specialization either in prosthetics, orthotics or assistive technology.

Bachelor - 4.5 Years

Masters - 2 years 

 SUBJECTS 

1st year - 10 subjects 

2nd year - 10 subjects 

3rd year - 9 subjects 

4th year - 7 subjects 

ELIGIBILITY 

10+2 from Science Background & Entrance exams 

FEE STRUCTURE

It ranges Between 1.5 to 2.5 LPA depending on the universities.

DESCRIPTION ABOUT THIS COURSE 

PROSTHETICS  means Study of amputations and the prosthetic devices which helps and people who has lost the limb use.

PROSTHESTIST usually prescribes the correct prosthetic limb to the patient considering the patient environment, his occupation etc.

ORTHOTICS means study of the deformities present in the human and the corrective orthotic devices which are used for the correction of the deformities 

ORTHOTIST prescribes the corrective orthotic devices considering the condition and age of the patient.
